What is the Black Heart Ball?
The Women’s Work Collective’s signature event is the ultimate Galentine’s Day party with a purpose. What started as a living room celebration among besties has grown into a joyful, community-powered dance party for good.
Our first-ever Ball was held on February 8, 2025, and featured all the essentials: dancing, snacks, a raffle, a sparkly heart-shaped piñata (yes, really), speed-friending, and a Queen of the Black Hearts outfit parade. Together, we raised over $5,000 in support of reproductive rights, and we had a blast doing it. Mark your calendars! Our next Ball will be held February 7, 2026 and will support the Northwest Abortion Access Fund.

celebration
At the Women’s Work Collective, we believe joy is an act of resistance, which is why celebration is one of our key values. Above all, The Black Heart Ball is about having FUN.

connection
We believe we are stronger together, and The Black Heart Ball is a great opportunity to connect with folks in the area. Speed Friending at the Ball gave people a chance to talk one on one and make new friends.

action
Thanks to our fabulous sponsors, volunteers, and guests, the 2025 Black Heart Ball was able to raise over $5,000 for Planned Parenthood!
